I don’t think the accent mark makes the pronunciation any more clear, it just makes the spelling more confusing. I posted these suggestions on another thread looking for [name_f]helena [/name_f] nick names: Helena is not my deadname but what i’ll be using if it turns out i’m not trans or have to go into hiding.

Helena seems, to me, to exist in the grey between styles, eras, and. Does leona helene or leona helena sound better? I would just use [name_f]helena [/name_f].
I think that [name_u]laney [/name_u]/ [name_u]lanie [/name_u] would be.
I’ve tried googling but can’t find anything, i can only find other f… Helena is a family name and i’d love to use it as a middle name. Any other thoughts about her? What comes to mind with the name helena?
