Indeed works by scraping hundreds or thousands of other websites for real job postings,. I have had to employers reach out asking if i am still interested but indeed won't load the message page everything else on indeed will load but the… A lot of times, employers are not aware that by closing out their listing on the indeed platform without taking any further actions through the platform that every applicant gets the not.
Indeed is just a glorified parasite of a website and most of the jobs you find on there are false doors.
There's one job i'm looking at with about 4 listing on indeed. I was originally going to apply on indeed then noticed one of the other listings had an option to directly apply on the company's. Well indeed is not doing a very good job of vetting/verifying the companies that are posting on their platform. Can’t tell you how many scams i’ve encountered in indeed and linkedin jobs in the past 6 months.
These are purposely hidden for jobs 30+ days old to make jobs seem more recent/active than they. I’ve mostly given up, am focusing on getting my promoted where i am now than searching fir something. When indeed detects that a new applicant doesn’t meet your deal breaker criteria, their submitted application is automatically filed under the rejected tab in your dashboard. Indeed can't rely on new jobs to bring users to their platform since they'd be dead overnight with so few new jobs on it.
Indeed is not the scammer, but they are the conduit to the scammer.
