I’ve bought both sets of living room furniture i’ve owned from menards. Menards carries a lot of cheap stuff (some diamonds in the rough mixed in) but also a lot of name brand stuff that's just as good or better than some of the home depot stuff. The last time i looked at one with what the total costs would be, it was about 3x what the kit.
I like our menards but sometimes have a hard time finding items compared to lowe’s (whose app tells you the specific location of an item).

Ok, the menards kits can give you a an idea of what different types, sizes, styles will run you. This subreddit is dedicated to menards! I saw for halloween stuff they had a clearance sale starting like a week or two before halloween, and it kept.
