Yale residential is trash emtek is pretty looking trash schlage is, okayish to great depending on what you buy. The latch on my doorhandle had worn down. I recently bought a yale assure with keypad and cylinder for a vacation home which seemed to have generally good reviews.
Shop Schlage Encode Plus Camelot Satin Nickel Smart Home Lock
Nothing @ the residential price point is amazing. I bought it because it was the only ansi grade 1 smart lock that existed at. I recently bought a schlage encode plus and it's my first foray into apple's home app and homekit, other than the apple tv.
I have the schlage connect (same thing as the encode but zwave instead of wifi).
What's more, the front door and back door are both kwikset while the security door is schlage. Any consensus on schlage encode vs yale assure smart locks? I've been looking for a way to get my preexisting schlage encode wifi locks into home assistant and saw this post saying that there is a custom integration! As a total newbie i just want to ask a few questions to make.
Typically all lock manufacturers use a different warding pattern, meaning key blanks will not. Since the consensus seems to be the schlage is a bit tougher, i'd like to replace the front. I've narrowed it down to the aqara u100 or the schlage encode plus. I sent an email to schlage and they sent me a full replacement set.
I have been very happy with it.
The grooves cut along the blade of the key (called warding) are different from one another. Y’all, i’m so stoked right now.
