I had an accurite but they decided to obsolete the part that transmitted data to wunderground so i got rid of it and bought an ambient weather station, and zero complaints for 2 years so far. I'm trying to add the ecowitt wittboy on wunderground, but there aren't any ecowitt devices listed there at all. Immediately, wunderground shows you the forecast for today, the temperature, what it feels like, the precipitation percentages, wind direction & amount.
Wunderground debuted in 1995, so this doesn’t surprise me at all.
While fixing my wife's computer ( also with kde neon installed ) was about to install the usual weather widget, the. Weather underground announced it is discontinuing it's webcam hosting service on oct. Not related to this project, not a coder, just a regular user. It was good when it first came out, and as years went by, it started to become obsolete.
Though there are some differences like wu and its wundermap showing home weather stations. The only reason i even bother with wu anymore is because of the map with all the local weather stations. Because each have a solid following but yes the forecasts are identical for each app. They also provide you a forecast.
Is there an alternative to wunderground that has a similar network of personal weather stations?
How does one go about doing this?
